BACHELOR Nation has become more known for its bombshell breakups over the years than its romantic proposals it was once famous for.

Bachelorette stars Tayshia Adams, Clare Crawley, and Katie Thurston were just a few from the franchise who announced their shocking splits in 2021.

Here is a list of the biggest breakups from fan-favorite couples who originally got together on The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and Bachelor In Paradise.

The former Bachelorette got engaged to her ex-fiance, Zac, on the season 16 finale which aired in December 2020.

Although the pair appeared to be going strong all year – even running the NYC Marathon together in November – they shockingly called-it-quits last month.

A source exclusively told The Sun that Tayshia “hit a breaking point” with his “jealousy” and their “big fights.”

The insider also claimed distance was a huge factor in the split, as the reality star is LA based and the addiction specialist resides in New York City.

On the season 17 finale which fans witnessed this past August, Katie said “yes” to Blake’s proposal.

However, less than two months later, the former bank teller and the wildlife manager announced they had called off their engagement

“It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways,” they wrote in a joint statement

“We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year.

“But we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently.”

Katie has received a wave of backlash for already moving on to date another contestant of hers, John Hersey, who she had often spent time with while still engaged to Blake.

The couple had a tumultuous relationship, full of ups and downs, from the start but ultimately called-it-quits in August 2021.

After a multi-year hiatus from the ABC franchise, the 40-year-old shocked many fans as she was named the Bachelorette last year.

However, she ended up quitting her turn as lead just a few weeks into filming her season due to meeting the “love of her life,” Dale Moss.

The pair left the show as an engaged couple and dated for five months before rumors swirled that Dale had cheated on Clare

They broke up for the first time in January 2021 but rekindled their romance months later.

In August, they split for a final time in what became a messy breakup – with Clare slamming Dale in multiple interviews.

“My biggest regret is trusting the process, trusting a man – a man’s words and who he showed me he was,” she said on Jana Kramer’s podcast, Whine Down.

Peter Weber and Kelley Flanagan

Pilot Pete admittedly had trouble choosing between the women on his season – having dated Hannah Ann Sluss and Madison Prewett along with Kelley.

Following his splits with Hannah Ann and Madi, the aviation expert began to date the former attorney in April 2020.

The pair spent much of lockdown during the pandemic together at her Chicago apartment and even made plans to move to New York City together.

But they ended up breaking up in December 2020 – with Peter “blindsiding” Kelley with an announcement of their split on New Year’s Eve.

However, they ended up getting back together in January and tried to “work on things” but split up for good the following month in February 2021.

Kelley claimed that she “found out something she wasn’t happy with” regarding Peter and teased that their relationship “ended really badly.”

The blonde bombshell became the most infamous villain-turned-fan-favorite from Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor in 2017.

She gained further fame for her scandal-filled run on Bachelor In Paradise that Summer however, she left each show she appeared on single.

Corrine began dating someone outside of Bachelor Nation, her longtime boyfriend Vincent, in 2019 but they announced their July breakup in September.

In a statement to UsWeekly, Vincent said: “We broke up about two months ago. I wish her nothing but the best.

“I don’t wish anything bad about her and [I] don’t have anything bad to say about her.”

The former Bachelor had a strong connection with the early frontrunner from the start however, their relationship was largely clouded by Rachael’s racism scandal in 2020.

As Matt’s season was airing, previous photos of the Georgia native posing in an Antebellum dress at a plantation party in 2018 went viral.

Fans were particularly disappointed as Matt made history that year becoming the first Black lead on The Bachelor.

Matt filmed his season and gave his final rose to Rachael in the Fall of 2020 and it premiered in January – the same month her “racist” photos made rounds online.

As the season was airing, the scandal grew bigger and ultimately led to Matt calling off their relationship – which he revealed during the live After The Final Rose special in March 2021.

The New Yorker was adamant there was “no way” he could be in a relationship with someone who “thought that behavior was acceptable” just a few years ago.

That feeling did not appear to last long, as they were spotted together again in April and have been in a relationship ever since.

CHRIS HARRISON

Perhaps the biggest split from Bachelor Nation this year was with former host Chris – who was forced to break up with the show itself.

In the midst of Rachael’s racism scandal, Chris did an interview with former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay on his reaction to the photos.

Chris was widely criticized for “defending” Rachael’s behavior and doubled down on his comments in a later interview – which only made matters worse for him.

The loud backlash continued for the longtime host – who was the face of the show since its premiere 20 years ago- and ABC ultimately suspended him as they looked into the matter.

In a shocking move to many, it was later announced that Chris would leave the show, as many viewers and contestants alike “didn’t feel comfortable” having him on set.

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia stepped in to co-host The Bachelorette while Jesse Palmer will lead Clayton Echard’s upcoming season of The Bachelor.

Meanwhile, Chris has not appeared to have landed any big gigs in the time since but he does have happy news to celebrate, as he recently got engaged to fiancee Lauren Zima

ALMOST PARADISE

Bachelor In Paradise couples also didn’t fare well this year – as relationships ended between Carly Waddell and Evan Bass along with Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer.

Fan-favorite’s Carly and Evan announced they were getting a divorce after tying-the-knot in a televised ceremony in 2017.

Noah and Abigail ended up getting back together shortly after breaking up on last season’s BIP.
